Sister Someone is, without a doubt, the most professionally talented, tightly rehearsed group I was ever to play with. Commercial without pandering, our sound was the result of the mix of our styles bouncing off one another. The result was a soulful rock style with a undercurrent of R & B. Of course at the time we were at our strongest, Nirvana and the Grunge wave was upon us. Feedback from record company execs (ya gotta love Œem!) was that we sounded too retro. Hmm.

This recording is from an excellent soundboard tape at the infamous China Club. A really strong performance that shows what we were capable of. The musicianship is incredible across the board. Only the imminent birth of my son Benjamin, mixed with discussions of following the above-mentioned execs advice led me to eventually retire from the group.

Studio tracks recorded 1993 at 1212 Studios, Jamaica, Queens.
